Eric Koerich
Brazilian-developed, McGill Varsity-trained, currently on a Ligue 1 QC roster. The coach who brings joga bonito energy to a weeknight training session and makes 8-year-olds want to try a stepover.

How you train with Eric
You don't book Eric one-on-one. Your child is coached by Eric inside Footie Elite's small-group training — a maximum of 6 players per coach, grouped by age and level, with confidence, friends, and fun first.
About Eric
Eric came up through Brazilian youth development before continuing his playing career at McGill on the varsity team — one of Quebec's top university programs. Today he plays for CSMRO in Ligue 1 QC, the top tier of Quebec senior soccer.
The Brazilian background isn't just biographical — it shapes how Eric coaches. Brazilian youth development emphasizes joy with the ball before structure, flair before formation, individual expression before tactical conformity. Eric brings that to every session, which is why kids in his groups are noticeably more comfortable trying things — stepovers, scoops, no-look passes — without fearing that a coach will yell at them for failing.
That doesn't mean unstructured play. Eric is a McGill-Varsity and Ligue 1 QC player; he knows tactical structure. But for younger player groups, he believes confidence-with-the-ball comes first and tactics are layered in once that foundation is real. Most parents describe Eric's sessions as the ones where their kid comes home and starts juggling the ball in the living room unprompted.
For older players (13-17), Eric's university-pathway experience makes him the coach families request when they're targeting U Sports or CEGEP RSEQ Division 1. He knows what those coaches are watching for at tryouts — and he was just on the receiving end of that evaluation himself.
Brazilian football taught me that the ball is supposed to be your friend — not a problem to solve. I want every kid I coach to leave a session feeling more comfortable on the ball than when they arrived. Confidence with the ball is the foundation of everything else.
